FC Rouen is a French football club based in the city of Rouen, Normandy. The club was founded in 1899 and plays its home matches at the Stade Robert Diochon, which has a capacity of 12,018 spectators.
FC Rouen has been a member of the French professional leagues for many years, playing in Ligue 1 (the top tier of French football) on multiple occasions. However, in recent years, the club has fallen on harder times and currently plays in the Championnat National 2, which is the fourth tier of French football.
The club has a rich history, having won the Coupe de France (the French national cup competition) twice in 1936 and 1939, and has also been a runner-up in the competition four times. FC Rouen has also won the Ligue 2 title once in 1966.
